The National Election Monitoring Alliance (NEMA) is an alliance of 14 non-governmental, civil and social organizations in Nepal with the objectives to facilitate the development of a sustainable civil society network to develop and conduct comprehensive non-partisan election observation, and the ability to contribute to longer-term democratization and to deter malpractice and enhance the transparency, integrity and credibility of the elections.

Working Journalist Regulation Draft Committee Members Resign

Kathmandu-Working Journalist Regulation Draft Committee Coordinator Shiva Gaunle and its members duo, Prateek Pradhan, Editor of The Kathmandu Post, a national daily and Ujjwal Sharma of The Himalayan Times, another national daily resigned from their respective posts citing that there was no favourable working environment in connection of drafting the regulation.
