78. Free Press is even more vital in the age of COVID-19

This episode of Freedom Chautary podcast is based on a panel discussion on the occasion of the World Press Freedom Day by International Center for Journalists (ICFJ) The discussion is focused on journalist safety, and the role of free press in the context of COVID-19 pandemic globally. The episode provides information and experience from prominent and experienced journalists for the different corners of the globe on how journalism is affected by the current public health crisis and how media can play a vital role to curb this crisis. The panel includes Cilla Benkӧ, the director-general of Swedish Radio, Melinda Liu, the Beijing bureau chief for Newsweek magazine, Jason Rezaian, Global Opinions writer at The Washington Post.
