When one comes to talk about the armed insurgencies that afflicted Nepal for over a decade, the violence as killing and torture reminds a horrible past. The killings were caused by both sides-the state and then rebellion. The family of both who were killed and tortured are still bound to live the post-conflict social psychology characterized by emotional setbacks and traumas. Many of them have various stories to share. Although the political parties and the governments following the end of armed insurgencies with the beginning of the peace process made several commitment that they would take initiative to carter justice no substantial work to this has dampened their hopes. Facing several struggles, the family, however, are gradually coming to normal life with much difficulty but with haunting horror of the past. Today we have a person, a daughter of a journalist killed during the insurgency period, who reminds a terrible past. Trishna Acharya is a daughter of slain journalist Dev Kumar Acharya(D. Kaudinya) believes that insurgency took the life of her intellectual father and shares the painful moment of the sleepless nights. After the killing of her father struggle of the family and lambasts the selfish politics and politicians but still hopes for peace, respect, and justice. Her emotional voice urges all sides to address impunity for crime against journalist and against her father.
