77. Open Budget Survey 2019 & its Findings

Open Budget Survey 2019 also known as OBS 2019 is the culmination of a collaborative research process in which the International Budget Partnership (IBP) worked with civil society researchers in 117 countries – encompassing all regions of the world and all income levels – over the past 16 months. This is the seventh round of the OBS, which is typically conducted biennially i.e. every two years. Previously surveys were completed in 2006, 2008, 2010, 2012, 2015, and 2017.

Freedom Forum is IBP’s survey partner for Nepal. Taranath Dahal & Krishna Sapkota are the lead researchers for the survey on behalf of Freedom Forum that has been advocating for budget transparency for a long time.
